Snow Chains for 22" wheels - possible?

Hi,

Just wondering if it's possible to fit snow chains to 22" wheels (in off road height?)?

Simon

Correct me if I'm wrong but the wheel diameter is not the issue, the tyre diameter is what matters. Hence, putting the appropriate profile tyre on a 22" rim will give almost the same tyre dia/circumference as using 275/40 19's and the right snow chains will fit. Now sold 2010 TDV8 Santorini black, lots of extras and best car I ever owned, and there's been a few. I will be back.

I came back with an L405 FFRR

There are lots of tyre size comparison calculators on the internet Simon which will show you how close you are to original 275/40 19. I've seen on this forum that up to about 3% is OK but I bet that lots of cars have a larger difference than 3% without problems. Now sold 2010 TDV8 Santorini black, lots of extras and best car I ever owned, and there's been a few.
