Looking for Likewise HANDS ON Range Rover owner buddy

Right, this may sound like an dating advert but sorry to disappoint, its not Razz

Are there any owners out there that work on their own cars as a hobby?
It would be good to do a back to back RRS ENGINE SERVICE with someone, we could help each other out (if need be) maybe tackle any issues we have with our cars etc, learn from each other if need be. All the info is here on the forums, you just need to really follow it.

Im willing to meet half way or come to you if not too far out around London/Essex
Thumbs Up

Im a hands on vehicle owner - in that I am not afraid to get my dirty clothes on and get my hands cut and dirty - I like to investigate, I dont like to over pay for jobs & will rather Do it myself of principle or enjoyment (Cars seem to have become my hobby) also the fact I dont really like handing my car over to people who may not do as good a job as I could do (if its a small job) due to previous experiences with garages and poor workmanship.
Ive owned various cars and worked on most and even had to climb ontop of my last V8 (spark plugs hard to access) Mr. Green

Post back if this sounds like you?

England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

I'm in North Beds which I am guessing is too far away?

I enjoy working on cars, but as I now tend to change every 2.5 years I was never getting my hands dirty. So, to run alongside our everyday cars I picked up a 2005 Disco 3, which is basically a RRS1 with a different body on the chassis and running gear.

The Disco is great as we do not depend on the car for transport and I do get a great deal of satisfaction Censored about with it and find that it distresses me.

Jim

I am retired, and do all my own repair. The only job I don't do is tire mounting and aligment. Unfortunately, we lived two world apart. I will be glad to answer any post or PM.

Hey guys thanks for the responses it's a shame the guzzler takes so much it wouldnt be worthwhile getting up towards Bedfordshire or across the pond Laughing otherwise would have been great to work alongside working on essentially the same vehicle.

Agreed also that some stuff is not worth tackling due to difficulty or risk factor and is better off left paying someone decent to do the job... I have bitten off more than I can chew before but got there in the end !
