In car entertainment remote control

I brought my rrs back in December and it has the factory rear entertainment system in it. I have the remote that didn't even power up as needed new battery's in it. But new battery's in and the remote lights up and turns on and off but doesn't work or change anything over. Can anyone shed any light on this? Not even sure where I should be pointing the remote when wanting to try and use the features. Like at the rear TVs or the main front one Embarassed
Cheers

Thanks for the reply. Do I need to pair the remote with the rear TVs after putting new battery's in as the old ones might of been dead for quite a while?
