Yeah I have read it could be that just wanted to check before I remove the spoiler

There is a relay. You can hear a very faint click from the passenger footwell area when switching on the screen heater. The lines in the side windows are aerials BTW not heating elements. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Oh right thanks.good info! Which relay is it ? And where passenger fuse box or engine?

Without searching through the workshop manual - can't be sure but certainly sounds like it is on the passenger compartment board. Never had to do it myself but others have reported getting to the relays in that area is a right PIA.
