Some help would be appreciated. Has anyone got any advise on how to replace the rear brakes back plates on a 2008 Sport. I decided to replace the rear disks and found the back plates badly corroded and with a slight tug the outer plate came away. Looks like I have to remove the hub but can this be done in situ without stripping the whole carrier. Appreciate any advise. |

you need to remove the hub from the knuckle im afraid. Put a new bearing in as it will be trashed when you remove the hub. You need to remove the hub to get to the torx screws. Bodsys Brake Bible

Hello. Can you give me a brief description of the job, parts required and an idea of how long the job may take. I have a replacement back plate and pullers. I also have access to a press of some description. |

Thank you for your help. I guess you mean the top and bottom bushes and bolts. Would that all require a alignment check on completion? |

If you mark the eccentric washers and where they align on the arms, and refit to that position, you shouldn't need alignment when you put it back together. |
