I have had the dreaded EPB screech and hand brake jam and had to use the manual release as the IIDTool unjam did not work.

I've unjammed the epb module, mine was pretty easy to do, praise be to the baby Jesus

I've also wound the brake adjusters right back to minimum but I still cannot get the park brake to work (I was going to ensure it worked from that position and then re-adjust) and am getting the "'park brake fault' message on the dash.

Using my IIDTool in the Control I/O section, I get the message that the EPB position is "Undefined." Could this be my issue?

Obviously using Clear Faults is not doing the trick.

Also I do not have the "Drive parking brake to latching position" in my menu tree, is this only available after the EPB position is determined.

The module/cables need to be latched to determine its position

Assuming you have pulled the emergency release cable, did you push both cables back together to relatch?

It certainly looks like they are re-latched, I can see where the white plastic connector on the offside has moved away from the edge of the EPB module casing and I believe this indicates that it has relatched.

I'll crawl back under at some point over the weekend, remove the cover and double check though.

Just checking though, how do I push the cables back together exactly?

grab the two halves of the slider and squeeze them together you should feel a click.
