Pirrelli p zero's

Due to change my Conti's after 22,000 miles and was wondering if anyone has any experience of running 22 inch p zero's, like wear rate and grip etc? 2014 Nara Bronze SDV6

I don't know specifically about the RRS 2 but have swapped Pirelli p-zeros for Continental Sport Contact on both an RRS 1 and L322 after the Contis suffered excessive shoulder wear and had to be replaced whilst the middle of the tyre did not merit replacement - shoulders were down to the cord on the RRS1

Can report no such problems with the p-zeros which seem to wear much more evenly. I think they also have better grip in the very wet (standing water) and off road but that is purely subjective.

Wow only 22,000 miles on the Continentals. I like Pirellis so was probably going to go that route when it's time to change. I've only had my car since late October and already have almost 5,000 miles. Will be expensive to have to change tires every 18 months! 2016 SCV8 Dynamic - Firenze Red/Pimento

Im running 22" Pirellis on mine, they are a bit noisy on some road surfaces but they will last longer than Conti's as the Conti's are a softer compound than pirellis.

Sorry to jump in but my experience with Pirreli are they are a soft tyre and being on the RRS you will not get a lot of mileage out of them. Every new car I've had with them on have lasted no more than 12-18k miles. I've always replaced them with a little cheaper version EXTRA LOAD tyre and got treble the mileage.
This is just my experience and my previous car forums have said the same.

I always fit Toyo Proxes to my RR Sports when needed, I did 15k on my last set and they'd only worn down to 7mm.

Definitely recommend them.

Thanks for the replies, I thought 22,000 was pretty good, never got anywhere near that with other makes on my RRS1! 2014 Nara Bronze SDV6

Hi,

I've just changed the front Pirelli's on my HSE Black @ 32,500ml. They were still legal but getting a bit skittish in the wet.

Rears are still OK @ 35,000mls.

Pirelli's on my RRS2 done 22k - fronts good for at least another 10k and rears no more than half worn. IMO Pirellis last much longer and better road tyre than Conti's which had on my previous vehicle.
