I had a HSE SDV8 on test over a weekend and was certainly impressed. The competition was a Cayenne, however they are very different vehicles.

For everyday use in the real world I felt the RRS would suit my needs better. Relaxed drive, enough power when needed, refined and looks great. For similar dollars the Cayenne S Diesel has a phenomenal engine and is more of a drivers car however I felt it was a bit "shouty" and relaxed driving was not high on the agenda.......it seemed full throttle or boring!! Plus its not as impressive to look at than the RRS and not sure if I would get used to the starship enterprise buttonfest in the Porsche.

Delivery planned for Monday 21st March.

I just popped in to the dealer to drop off my new alloys ready for PDI, and got chance to see the car in storage.

Not quite the finished article yet, however even wrapped in plastic it still looked impressive. Its going to be a long wait until Monday!!!

Trust me SDV8 is the right way to go. Great choice.. I love it. Wait till you get it on a country lane in Dynamic mode !

I was impressed with the SDV8 during my tests and love the smooth pulling power. I will whack it into Dynamic next week and see how it goes. I must admit I didn't test the Dynamic mode on test drives.....something else to look forward to!!

Great thanks Expat. Slight issue as the car came without a towbar (dealer issue) but is being fitted in next couple of weeks.

Car is getting tints and exterior/interior Opticoat tomorrow so will post pics and initial comments in next few days.
