Hi PEACHY, I'm in the same situation and my LR Dealer was 100% certain that it the warranty is transferrable to a private buyer but not to a dealer. I would love to see where this is written but I haven't had the chance to look yet.

If you have the documentation for the extended warranty it should tell you in there, certainly the 5 year service pack that I took out with my car is transferable but I often wonder when you trade the car in if the dealer tells the next owner that there is outstanding subscription on a car in the hope that they might sell another policy.......... I was contacted by the potential buyer of my last car to ask how long the subscription to InControl was and if transferrable and also if I had taken out the 3 years service pack, which I had taken out and both were transferable. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I hate the thought of another £500 service & £1095 warranty cost this July ( never mind the £500 road tax ) - I work at Jaguar CB but not for JLR. I see the XF every day & never took much notice but decided I fancied a change Very Happy i looked at Audi & BMW but kept going back to the XF - sat in one in the showroom & decided thats the one i want. I have a plan too hopefully return to the RRS2 in November 2017 ( 50th Birthday present to myself ). A deal hasn't been done yet due to part ex figures Big Cry
I may go for a used very low mileage 65 plate so to some degree the depreciation has already taken its toll. I have the dilemma that many other forum members have faced - part ex with the dealer with no pain or advertise privately to gain a couple of grand more Big Cry but our motors are not easy to finance when asking for around £34k. 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

You could stick it up on the forum Peachy, you might just find that one member looking to buy from a private seller not wanting to give the dealer a few more extra ££££'s for the same car. Thumbs Up

We all know how well you look after your cars, so should be a simple transaction if the price is right. Bow down
