Only tried InControl Apps to see how it works. I have no use for what is available at present.

The whole InControl thing is mired in confusion and I agree that InControl Apps is a total waste of money. LR will be in a perpetual state of catch up until somebody decides to put it out of its misery and it's no longer supported, though to call it supported now takes a bit of a stretch of the imagination. Worse, the button to use it takes up valuable space on the home screen.

If you haven't added it then in the winter the heated steering wheel is a really nice thing to have if your car sits outside overnight. Heated front screen, heated seats and heated steering wheel means it doesn't matter that it takes a couple of miles to get heat out of the blowers! Something that has puzzled me coming to RRS2 from Evoque is why RRS2 doesn't get the clever PTC heater system that Evqoue has, it means heat from the blowers almost instantly after start up. I wouldn't be without Park Heating. It's a fantastic option, albeit a £1,000 one. You can enable it from your iPhone which is great or via the screen or remote. |

+1 for remote park heating. I only need to use heated seats and heated steering wheel when I forget to turn on park heating in advance. Had an early start to my Sarurday and was welcomed to a clear windscreen as my neighbour was scraping ice off his (not sure why though ... RRS1 HSE should have heated front screen I believe). Ability to use heating without starting the engine and without draining the battery is also handy when waiting in the car. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Large washer bottle! No matter that there are then two reservoirs to fill, you use a lot of washer fluid at this time of year.

Tim, Could not agree more. Of the thousands of pounds spent on gizmos and extras for my car, this is the one that I use the most and would find very difficult to give up! Especially as the the "Cold Weather Snowflake" that lights up on the dash when the exterior temperature is at 4C or below. I have had the car since August and that wee snowflake has been up there since September!!!!
