Land Rover Experience Devon Trec days are now available for booking for 2016.

I did the East Devon Trec last year and it was a superb day out. I have just booked into the Exmoor Trec on the 13th March 2016, so any fellow forum members that fancy a day offroad or any other dates then get booking as they fill up fast!

At the time of booking the website wasn't updated but I have obtained the dates via another forum member.


Hopefully there will be a few more RR Sports on the March 13 Trec as last time I was the only one!

If I can make my leave stretch out until the May 22nd run I'll be aiming for that one as I have a colleague's retirement do to attend at Lewtrenchard Manor on the 14th, 600 miles each way on the motorway with a spot of offroading in the middle, that's a great challenge if I can make it. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Mentioned to management last night. She said "Perhaps we could make a weekend of it...". I took that to be a full " yes" so I booked it today. Just need to book some suitable accommodation now.

I'd love to have a go on one of these, is there anywhere that does temporary off-road insurance for days like this? I've been in touch with A plan and they will not cover my RRS for offroad use...

I asked my insurer (NFU Mutual) who in turn checked with their underwriters and they are OK with off-road use as long as no racing or competition is involved. Speak to them or Land Rover Insurance to see if they provide 1 day cover.

For us this trec day will only make sense as part of a 3-4 day trip to the south west, which can only be done during school holidays. With that in mind and looking at the dates above, the only options are 14th Aug and 4th Sep unless I do this on my own. That won't be allowed I'm pretty sure...

Eastnor is a great environment. Are you doing a full day? Hopefully you'll get over to the big wooded area and not just the "concrete obstacles". The muddy wading trenches are fun - did Eastnor a couple of times in my own RRS and the trenches were deep enough to get Defner drivers' feet wet in their cabs.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
