My rear parking sensor was playing up and the dealer ordered a new sensor, when they went to fit it the fault was traced to the wiring not the sensor and was told that as it was not a replacement part it was not covered by warranty and would cost me £40 to fix wiring!!

Any one else experienced this? wondering when a warranty is not a warranty on a one year old AB?!

Sounds like BS, I have had wiring replaced in the rear door on a 1.5 year old Evoque under warranty and front parking sensor wiring on a 3.5 year old FL2 under the extended warranty. 2018 MY19 HSE Dynamic, Santorini, Ebony/Ivory, Sliding pano, Adaptive cruise, Black wheels. A manager was going to come from the back somewhere and explain why not covered but they got receptionist to explain that there was no charge as it worked out ok on some costings whatever that was, either way left without parting with any cash and problem fixed!

Call me synical but it sounds like they were trying it on, then backed off when questioned or threatened with LRCS.
