I am NOT knocking the conversion you have done, what you have done to a low spec car is another story altogether, I take my hat off to you

Good job we are all different then some like the 2 piece some like the one piece. I just did not like gap between the two boots, and that ugly looking plastic round external boot release button.

Guess there's more than one..... Why the hostility? You put on a single piece tailgate, which is neither powered nor has the correct hinges. I merely asked why you did it, and you launch into yawning and whistling emoji's....... But of a dick move, but fair enough. Your motor to do th what you like. I don't like it, and it's one of the things I miss most about my 2010HSE. If you read the posts where does it say it has the incorrect hinges ???? I put the correct hinges on. The 2 piece hinges will not even fit.

Is there any way you could post a wiring diagram showing the mod you did to get the middle tailgate switch to open? I have a 2008 RRS and like the look of the silver strip. However, I would need the rear switch to work because my vehicle does not have the specific boot release switch on the key fob. (yes i know the bottom LR button on the key can be programed but it can also be easily accidentally un-programmed to do something different, then I would be stuck with a boot that doesn't open. |
