1. What's with that unprofessional looking white cable running over the garage doors?
2. Who's that person with balaclava covered face reflected on the rear panel over the wheel arch? I can see a walkie talkie antenna too (or is that the barrel of the rifle hanging on his/her shoulder) Shocked
3. The roof rails don't stand out too much (the bars do though) in this picture at least. Your call whether replacing them is worth the hassle.
4. Car looks nice Thumbs Up Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

The white cable on the garage is one of the many problems I've inherited with this house purchase Big Cry

You lost me on 2 Shocked

I've removed the bars and will probably replace them with thule alternative as the LR ones are Censored

Swmbo doesn't mind the silver rails and thinks replacing them will prolong the saga after they scratch roof or smash panoramic roof Embarassed Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

1. I am not entitled to say too much about this kind of stuff when my house shows signs of my own DIY in every room Big Cry
2. Look closely right at the end, above the rear bumper. You probably won't see what I'm seeing as you would know what that actually is Laughing Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

I didn't think anyone would be interested so just keep talking to myself Laughing

You're not going to believe it but I'm still happy with my choice Shocked

Mpg is not as good as claimed but I can live with it - think it was a typo - they printed 53 but it's 35 Rolling Eyes

Sometimes I hit a bit of rough road and say RRS would of been nicer ride but then again that's why it's twice the price Wink

Still not filled the massive boot so might be time to sell the roofbox Confused

Had a car full earlier this week and swmbo was in the back and remembered the rear seats reclined so got herself comfortable and had a nap - she couldn't do that in the RRS and with the Pano roof she's talking about sitting in back all the time - I said I'm not wearing a chauffeurs hat Whistle

I've always wanted a FFRR Vogue SE with the TDV8 but not sure I would pay the difference and part with the DS now - I would keep the DS for the winter/practicality and spend the money I saved on something fast and sexy - like me Rolling with laughter Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Shocked Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Pleased to hear you are still happy with your DS Muddy, i wasn't sure if i was opening a can of worms when i asked the question. Fuel figures are always very optimistic that the manufacturers give. Whistle So no surprise there. I got offered a couple of days test drive out of the blue, the other day by my dealer Shocked I might just take them up on their offer as i am heading up North for a few days very soon. Wink I do like the look of the HSE Dynamic Lux though. New car for Mrs Ady maybe. Smile

You know what they say "Try it you might like it" - Definitely better than the Ewok IMHO Thumbs Up

I worry less about parking the DS than the RRS although I've just ordered a Disklok (in view of the apparent new keyless security threat) and fitted a dual cam when I got it just because it makes sense Rolling Eyes

Few DS owners are saying the RRS is more premium but duh! that's why it's more expensive - I'm sure a lot of the price difference is extra profit not just extra costs. Besides WAGs wouldn't buy them if they were good value Wink

I could build a swimming pool and buy my dream Series 2 with the £30k+ I saved not buying a RRS2 provided SWMBO doesn't spend it first Laughing Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Muddy you need to get your DS looked at, even my 2015MY HSE Dynamic with the SDv6 gets better fuel economy than that............. Just driven from Lancaster to the edge of Bodmin Moor today on half a tank of go juice, average speed on the trip 67mph (clever thing this auto trip function as it knows when you have had to stop on the motorway and have used the Stop/Start system in crawling traffic) and I have average mpg on the trip of 46mpg, so in "real life" that will be about 41-42mpg when I brim it......... Not bad for a car that loves to be driven fast. Event at home on the 16 mile A road run into Stirling I get 38-40mpg and if there are too many trucks stuck behind tractors going to market then I can often see 45mpg sat at 40-45 and unable to overtake (I know where the "safety" camera vans hide so take it easy as they are out every day on the A811!). The kick down is so immediate too that I rarely need to use S or Dynamic mode. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
