Discoloured load cover - any tips?

My recently acquired RRS has an almond interior. All very good nick, but the load cover is discoloured. It may be sun damage - not sure. Any suggestions how to sort it?

Try a magic sponge, if not there is a brand new one on eBay at the moment still boxed. £50 starting bid. Thumbs Up

Magic sponge (as it's not leather) or a decent all purpose cleaner and a nail brush should do the trick Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I did try some sort of cleaner, can't remember what, and it didn't even touch it. That's why I assumed it was sun damage. I'll try a magic sponge - seems good value at £50. Very Happy

Out of interest, does anyone have any particular knowledge/experience to suggest this is actually fixable?

I've used a product called Groom over the years, very good for cleaning plastics etc. Pretty sure the likes of Halfrauds still sell it- a fiver or so from memory. Use with flat sponge or nail brush for a deep clean.. Quite a nice fresh smell when you're done too...
Not quite sure what a magic sponge is, but a pack of flat sponges from Tesco, £1 for 3 or 4 are great. Used just one and did the whole interior of my old X5 with it, so they last really well too!

Was your RRS a smoker's car? If so, could be nicotine or such like- the old Groom will shift that Wink

Just tried some 'magic sponges' and they are indeed magic. Brilliant for cleaning all sorts of things but had zero effect on the loadcover.
