Automatic Access Height

Morning everyone

I collected my MY16 AB yesterday. I am confused on the Automatic Access Height, and I'm hoping someone can point me on the right direction.

I have it switched on in the vehicle settings menu, and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I come to a stand still, put it in Park, put the brake on and, like I said, sometimes it lowers and sometimes it doesn't.

Am I missing something?

Thanks all

I had it enabled by default and then the first time I parked in a car park the car lowered itself onto the curb with a crunch. I turned it off after that.

It also depends on when you unbuckle the seat belts (and if someone is in the rear seats) - see the manual.

And as I've always said, a bad thing to do. Far better to lower the suspension when the car is moving. To see why I say this, wait until the snow arrives, lower the suspension with the car parked and see how much the wheels splay outwards.

Both my RRS1s used to do that so we got into the habit of going into access mode with car still moving but about to stop and do the same in RRS2. However, when we forget and it automatically goes into access mode after being parked, I don't think RRS2 wheels splay out like RRS1. Have you seen it in RRS2 philmw or saying from past experience only? I need to check again as we have let auto access mode do its thing only a handful of times. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Seems this is a MY16 only function. My early SVR must be a MY15 or MY15.5 and the function is not in the menu. However, I am in the habit of pressing the down button as I come to a stop. Mark

It is. Out of habit I always select access when pulling up to park. I don't think the splay is as bad as it was on the RRS-1.
