The info on the website seems to be stuff picked up from reading other sites rather than from experience of the engine.

The whole site reads like it's been translated from another language, to be honest. It does not fill one with confidence in any way even before one sees the info Disco_Mikey provided. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

WORST SERVICE IMAGINABLE - Our BMW engine failed owing to the timing chain, we tried many companies and eventually decided to use engine engineering paisley, their website and salesman led us to believe that they were 'specialists' in BMW engine repair and that BMW themselves used them !
They offered to collect the car from Manchester and return it to us within 5 days WHAT A JOKE !!!
3 weeks of phonecalls and letters which all went unanswered only to be eventually informed that they hadnt even started the work, we demanded that our vehicle was returned at their cost, yet another week passed and no car, we demanded that they either return the car or pay us in full for the cost of the vehicle only to have it returned with USED/STOLEN/LOST PARTS FROM OUR ENGINE, our car was returned INCOMPLETE, UN-USEABLE and DAMAGED - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - There are under major investigation by the police and trading standards and we stand to loose over £2000 plus what it costs to repair our own car !!!

*****UPDATE***** ENGINE ENGINEERING PAISLEY HAVE BEEN RAIDED BY THE POLICE AND TRADING STANDARDS AS OF 24/11 - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Hi
In response to post about engine engineering, i recently purchased a recon engine for my renualt traffic, they sent the wrong engine , they then suggested i return the new engine along with my old engine so they can compare the difference and build the correct version, both engines were shipped this week on 24/11 i rang them today 27/11 to get an update they told me they cant get into the work shop as the workshop door had failed, This now concerns me greatly as you posted that they have been raided by trading standards this week, at the moment i have no engine and they have £2600 of my money, can you tell me how you came by your info about trading standards, any information would be a great help,
This company is awful their customer service is non-existent

Pity I hadn't known about your Beemer issue prior to your nightmare. This happened to my daughters car in September. I used a garage called 'Prestige German Cars" in South Shields, Tyne & Wear. Picked her car up on the Monday, rang me on the friday morning to say it was ready. Had no issues whatsoever. Cost £2700 for complete engine rebuild with new DMF and clutch.

You do know there is a recall on the 2.0 BMW Diesel engines, relating to the timing chain? Shocked

EDIT: From the E.E website

I am just in the same pickle as you with an Audi engine.
Except I have still the wrong engine in my procession and am wondering what the best way to deal with it.
Unfortunately the model of engine they sent me is not popular and not worth anything according to my garage.
I was wondering how you are getting on now???
Can you please PM me.
Thanks

I just did a bit more research and below is a link of another customer of EE that has been ripped-off and decided to create a website to warn future customers.
The website was created in 2013. Three years later same cons are going on!!!
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

you should be sending your engines to Sartor brothers in Johannesburg, they are registered to rebuild aston engines, RR engines, should be dirt cheap for you to send an engine out here and get it done.
