Headlamp Adjustment - Driving in Europe

Does anyone know in which position the levers in the headlamps should be for UK vs European driving. According to the manual, i was expecting to find them both 'up' for UK and to move them 'down' for driving in Europe, but when i got into the headlamps, i found one up and one down!!

In which position should they be?

Thanks,

From memory, up was UK and down was Europe in my 2009. Surprised that 2012 cars required headlamp adjustment for driving on the other side.

My 2013 was adjustment free with a flat beam pattern and I always thought this came along with other 2012 updates. May be it was a Black Edition/runout model thing or spec dependent. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

I have a September 2012 RRS and in the handbook that came with the car it states that the headlamps do not need adjusting for travel in Europe. 2015 Range Rover Sport Autobiography Dynamic SDV6

Thanks for the feedback gents - think i'll have to check it out with the dealer - my handbook (Feb 2012) indicates that adjustment is required. Currently one lever is up, the other down - but the headlight patterns look about right on the wall of an underground car park.

Bizarre! My other vehicle is a Defender Smile
