So since picking up my RS4.. my mates have all been dribbling over it, and in particular some mates of mine who are complete petrol heads and all drive quite hot/tasty cars.

For three weeks they have been badgering me to come out and play, so last night now i have covered 2000 miles ish and the car feels a lot more looser etc i though what the hell.. might as well before winter comes and we don't get these dry summer evenings anymore.

Car no. 1 = 2003 Bmw M3 SMG Cab
Car no. 2 = 2001 Subaru Impreza P1
Car no. 3 = 2006 Audi RS4 (mine..)

Basically lined the M3 and the RS4 on the lights, about 1/2 mile stretch, no turnings in, no pedestrian crossing points etc, so basically as safe as it could be. We launched the cars off the lights on green, and 3/3 times the RS4 absolutely mullered the M3, my mate even did a launch control off the lights using his SMG the 2nd time, but to be honest neither him or the spectators were surprised, we were expecting that result.

Then the Subaru P1 arrived, the M3 took a bow and left, and now it was the turn of the Subaru, to my surprise, the Subaru had the RS4 off twice! 1st time i wasn't 100% ready, 2nd time i messed up my 2nd-3rd gear change, so i guess a rematch is in order at some point. We were surprised the P1 took off as quick as it did, specially compared to the RS4, but it still looks like a tonka toy! have some pics, will upload later.

Next time, we were saying, we will get someone to video from the lights we are taking off from, then another at the top of the road... would be good footage then! or bring a proper video camera along..

I'm surprised the Scooby beat you too actually... but can certainly understand you knocking the M3 into a cocked hat. Having experienced your car first hand, the E46 M3 has nothing on it. Roll on the E90 then

im still thinking its because of me not being ready, having one up compared to the P1 and fluffing my gearchange.. i managed to get three perfect runs against the M3.. no passengers.. so guess we should have kept the same environment for the P1.. git.. he was well chuffed with the result, as that inadvertadly meant that the P1's quicker then the M3 and the RS4.. hmm.. im guessing jays SL would knock it into the middle of next week though!

e46 has nothing to do with new rs4 in a straight line it has only 343 bhp But still e46 will have a better time on some track (like nurburgring).... Anyway we should wait for e90 m3 coming out this year  2014 Mercedes-Benz S500

lucky to see it in 2007 i reckon mate... (thats what the grapevines saying anyway..) yeah essentially the E46 is 2000 technology, if the RS4 didn't beat it, it would be very embarrassing for Audi, however i think Bmw always remain one step ahead, and the new M3 is likely to be a stormer, however there are rumours of a B7 RS4+ which i imagine will be what Bmw will reply with in their CSL.. its crazy, where will all this BHP stop!!
