If you look in member VA's gallery he had an RAI fitted to his RRS TDv6 but didn't fit one to his TDv8. Also bear in mind that the LR RAI is NOT a snorkel, you cannot deep wade with it as there are no watertight seals at the RAI/body panel join or at the airbox join. You could add seals yourself though. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

For me the RAI would be just an insurance against a quick deep dunk - perhaps a wheel dropping in to a hole briefly. It would prevent a plug of water heading down the intake. Deep wading when the vehicle has so many sensitive systems is probably just asking too much... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I agree with you on stopping a slug of water on a quick deep dunk where there is a hole in a rut, that's what I would like one for. As for deep wading, you end up floating and I would rather not 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

Welcome to our world where shipping anything to Aust is expensive. Shipping costs from the UK and the US are the biggest rippoff. But what also needs to be taken into account is that our accessories work where much of the stuff made in UK/Europe just does not last here and is a waste of money. 07MY RRS TDV6 Arctic Frost Aspen Interior |

Just had a look at the Matzker site and interestingly they show a raised air intake upto a 2012 car. I wonder if they make an adaptation plate as the wing vent shapes are different on a facelift and are not supposed to be compatible after 2009 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black
