Best Warranty

Can anyone recommend the best warranty to take out to cover most of the usual issues with the RRS? I got a 3 month policy with my car that won't pay out for the handbrake module (7 days after buying it) so won't be extending it! What should I expect to pay? Thanks

Depending on the age and mileage of your car- Warranty direct are very good and after haggling charge about £650 for 13 months cover.

Can recommend warranty Direct - make sure you haggle on the price and it covers the suspension components. Just had to claim on my warranty and they paid out with no issues. Also make sure you understand what is covered and most importantly, what is not covered in any warranty you take out

Another plus for Warranty Direct. Current Merc GLE 3.5d 2016 model, 2011 RRS HSE standard
Previous 2012 FL2 liked but boot too small
Previous to LR's 3 x Merc E320 estates - fantastic load carriers and long distance cruisers, ultra reliable. Only changed as needed a 4x4 high tow vehicle. Did have a 1955 early LR drop down windscreen and fuel tank under the drivers seat; again very reliable and super rugged.

Thanks for the feedback - Warranty Direct do seem to have the edge on the others.

I bought Warranty Direct. Actually their Extra Care Lite Policy (£265) where it is same cover BUT they only pay if there has been a failure or warning light requiring breakdown recovery to a garage. So I think of it as catastrophe insurance. Neutral

Their main competitor, Warranty Wise, is backed by Quentin Wilson who, whilst purporting to be a consumer advocate, looks to my eyes like he'd happily steal your granny's last fiver. Rolling Eyes L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

That's interesting. It was warranty wise who didn't cover the EPB module. In my case I didn't do enough homework on exactly what the policy covered on brakes. It appeared to cover pretty much all the braking system. At that time I wasn't aware that the module was a common fault (lesson learnt) I knew about the other brakes issues but not that one. I thought because it had failed and caused the brakes to lock on disabling the car that it would be covered. In the end the dealer came good and I'm collecting it tomorrow.
