Suspension fault- normal height only

Hi everyone
I've been getting this message on my car recently every time on start up,
Start the car up, compressor kicks in, can hear it, then afew seconds later "bong" suspension fault normal height only.
With the yellow suspension sign constantly on, on the left side of the instrument cluster.

Has my compressor packed up, or do I have some sort of a leak?
The fault started at first couple of time then as days went it's become a permanent thing soon after start up.

Any information would be greatly appreciated
Thanks.

Hi
The exact same thing happened to me little over 2 months ago, happened more and more so had it looked at and unfortunately in my case it was a new compressor which was needed. Since then it has been perfect, sorry to be the bearer of possible bad news Sad

Thanks guys, just as I thought a new compressor it is then.
How hard is it to change over? Has any one done it there selfs or is a garage needed, thinking of changing it over myself.
Does it need reprogramming or any as such afterwards?

Thanks

There are other possible causes, like leaks or a blocked dryer, so I would want to carry out some further investigations before condemning the compressor.

If it is indeed the compressor, I suggest you fit an AMK version which does require the software to be updated, but could still be fitted DIY: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic84165.html Thumbs Up

I think mine has just gone while driving I heard what sounded like a blowout but it looks like suspension issue.start up & I can hear air for a few seconds but no movement on suspension,,I've just foned LR Assist & they are on their way to me now.

Hi there.

Its worth getting your codes read first as it could be several things. You dont want to go wasting your money on a compressor to find out its something else.

As above though worth checking for leaks on airlines, collets and your airbags aswell.
