I just don't get how dealers get away with this "we are doing YOU the favour attitude " I understand it's nice to spec a car exactly how you want it but I always think with a delay like these I could be dead before it arrives ! Ady and Muddy you should both go and buy an ex demo RRS and have it by the weekend ! |

To be fair, my dealer has tried everything to get it to me sooner, but BMW are not budging on their lead times. They are blaming demand for the 335d engine. They just can't make them quick enough. |

Seen as Muddy has given that DS a good test drive, I may consider buying that if he gives it the big thumbs up and nothing has dropped off it. |

I think the DS is superb for the price
How difficult can it be to log on a system and tell me what the problem was and how it was fixed - for all I know it fell off the assembly line and had to have every panel replaced and resprayed or it caught fire So do I take delivery and hope for the best or do I refuse to accept delivery without a full detailed explanation for the delay I AM NOT A MUSHROOM - so don't keep me in the dark and feed me Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW Still hoping for a S2 one day! |

Drove today in some awful weather with lots of standing water at side of road - this would of been a challenge in the RRS fighting the steering everytime I hit a puddle but no drama in the DS I really want this vehicle but LRs arrogance is making it very difficult Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW Still hoping for a S2 one day! |

Problem is Nick is they can't build them quick enough for the demand so why bother telling someone forking out £40k+ anything - he should think himself lucky we let him wait 6 months for it or buy something else Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Fighting the steering on a RRS in puddles? Really? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

I had a DS as a courtesy vehicle for a week and found it to light when it hit standing water.i find the RRS a superior vehicle in every way. |
