I think you might be better off looking for a good tuning firm with premise and a rolling road that will remap the car properly rather than a Mobil ( here today and gone tomorrow) . Not sure of the name but I have heard of a good one in Southampton. |

I'll second DMS. I've had various cars remapped by DMS including my current RRS. Well worth doing |

Looking at the quoted DMS figures, I would take them with a pinch of salt... |

That sounds a bit like professional jealousy. As I said I've had a number of cars including Mercs, BMWs, Audis, a L322 FFRR and a L494 RRS remapped by DMS and the outcome has always been a significant improvement in torque and power. Their remaps have been tested by enough motoring mags over the years (see Reviews) that they would have been exposed years ago if they were selling duds You can choose to believe that or not. I have no connection with DMS other than being a satisfied customer over many years |

I would take dyno figures with a pinch of salt. No two rolling roads are alike. Some companies offer higher bhp figures than other as a gimmick just to drum up more business, but in reality, these figures aren't often reached due to many factors. It's all about driveability and how the car puts the performance down. And of course reliability.

My advice, have a word with Pete Bell at BAS, load of satisfied customers on here and the Disco 3 Forum etc, also talk to J E Engineering in Coventry, JE use to work hand in hand with Land Rover Engineering, they will give you honest info on BHP and Drivability. It's no use having 400 BHP at 5200 RPM, when normal fast driving may be around the 4000 RPM.

Alive Tuning for me, very happy with map and drivability, for me i was more interested in torque gains as thats where the real difference is noticed rather than outright BHP figures |

Have you had any of your DMS mapped cars on an independent dyno, to verify the claimed figures? |

Have you dyno'd any DMS remapped cars? Happy to put my RRS SDV6 on a dyno against a standard SDV6 and see what the difference is. I'm as interested as anyone to know |

Not unless you have another car there at the same time to compare. |
