Hmmm, I kept my old 2006 mats thinking I could save a few pennies, look like I better change them for a new set now, thanks for the heads up sportdriver, excellent post.
Now does anyone want to buy some old rubber mats..

@640Newton: Really, information related to tires educates me enough. Next time I’ll think about all these aspects before buying a new tire.

5 year old thread brought back to life:
I bought a 2010 RRS a couple of months ago, and thought this thread looked interesting. To cut a long story short I found my 2010 car had the earlier standard of mat fitted.
So if you have a 2010 onwards car and haven't checked the mats yourself just take 2 minutes and have a quick look.
Mine came from a dealer who wasn't aware of the issue and the mats had been left in by the previous owner. The dealer has just replaced them with new ones for me without any complaints/arguments/messing about - I expected a replacement but thought I'd have to fight for it.
There's a saying about there being no such thing as new errors - and that it's just old errors happening to new people
Again, have a quick look at your mats ................26 Jun 2015 - Just bought my dream car - 😀 2010 RRS HSE
