Vodafone be careful of new plan

Do not be caught out by this: Beware of new Vodafone Red Value SIM only Plan - understand how Vodafone wishes to catch you out.. With the new Red Value Plan they give you unlimited texts, minutes and 4GB DATA on 4G; it also goes on to say that it automatically gives you Euro Traveller Plus allowing you to make and receive free calls in Europe from your package minutes to standard UK landlines and 07 mobiles. All great what they carefully do not say is that texts are not included which again is fine until you find out that sending one text wil incur a £3.0/day charge. There is not an option to pay for standard roaming charges for texts and Data if one takes this SIM package. Both the Vodafone salesman and their customer service told me on the phone that I could have Euro Traveller Plus but also the option of paying roaming charges for texts and DATA. Just found out that was a lie. I have been with Vodafone since 1983 working for RACAL who founded Vodafone and am staggered they get away with this. Considering moving to Three who bundle in minutes, texts and DATA whether you are in the UK or Europe. Current Merc GLE 3.5d 2016 model, 2011 RRS HSE standard
Previous 2012 FL2 liked but boot too small
Previous to LR's 3 x Merc E320 estates - fantastic load carriers and long distance cruisers, ultra reliable. Only changed as needed a 4x4 high tow vehicle. Did have a 1955 early LR drop down windscreen and fuel tank under the drivers seat; again very reliable and super rugged.

Fairly sure Vodafone is a "British multinational" if that isn't a contradiction. Vodafone's head office is in London with Vodafone UK being in Newbury (also the registered office too I believe - I drive by it every day on my commute (not that that is relevant to anything)). They bought a German cable company a few years ago but they've also bought / partnered with a good number of other nationality companies over the years. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The 3 quid charge is actually good value. Is 3 quid to use your texts, minutes and data in Europe per day.... 2010 TDV8

I agree - what is there not to like about this? £3 a day to use your UK price plan in the EU - I have unlimited Mins, text and Data in the UK so for £3 I get the exact same whilst out there.

This is even more fantastic value when in international countries like (UAE, USA and India) - £5 a day as above it's bloody brilliant Thumbs Up
