Mine were replaced after 2000 miles, but 18 months on, and with 13 months warranty remaining on a 20,000 mile RRS2, Land Rover have told my supplying dealership that as they have replaced them once they are now UNWILLING to replace them again. This is on A RRS2 HSE Dynamic with FLRSH with over 12 months warranty left.....

The ones on the NSR appear to be loosing their paint more than the OSR. My car is 2 years old next month, 20,000 miles and never been taken off road. The original set were replaced at 2000 miles for exactly the same problem seen here. However Land Rover UK have refused to replace the set in the photos as they have already replaced them once and the replacements are not covered under warranty!

Hey Jim... it's a joke ... as Ady said it's cheap and nasty prep and also looks like it's only got one coat...

Mine are OK so far but it's only 1 month old. I have no reason to believe LR would have made any improvements so will keep checking them and the moment the paint shows signs of deterioration it will get reported to the dealer and picture posted here.

Absolutely it's minor compared to the other known issues .... I knew this was going to happen to my car before I bought it

The L494 is now 2 years old. All these small problems should now have been eliminated..... |

The previous two RRSs I owned were last of their series - a 2009 just before facelift/engine change and a 2013 before L494 arrived. Either the first owner had sorted everything (I was the second owner in both cases) or they didn't have any niggling imperfections or "characteristics" to begin with. Seems like the best time to buy a Land Rover for is just before a new model is due or buy second hand. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
