Just to point out, they do all have to be the same size. (Merely stating this as a precaution ) Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Tried to buy Michelin CrossClimates in 275/45/20 to replace my 275/40/20 because the CrossClimates are not available in 40. Michelin wouldn’t approve it under any circumstances, so tyre fitter wouldn’t sell them to me. Even Camskil would not approve. |

If you want a slightly more comfortable ride, you can also go for 255/55R20 --

As MICHELIN only recommends using the original tyre size that was given by the car manufacturers, therefore we cannot ask for approval from Land Rover.

3 tyre suppliers wouldn’t sell 45s to me. One said that if I turned up with tyres without wheels in order to fit as a separate transaction, the mechanics would spot the difference and check and then not install.

The MICHELIN Latitude Sport 3 is a summer tyre model, as you also mentioned, and summer tyres were designed to be used when the daily temperature is above 7 degrees, we do not recommend to use it on

No Tyre manufacturer is going to approve a size not specified by the vehicle manufacturer, the same as no Dealer will say it is o.k to fit a size not specified by the Vehicle manufacture. My guess for this would be mainly a Liability one in the event of a accident or some issue as a result using unspecified parts, tyres or anything else, as the first thing someone is going to say is but Land Rover, Michelin or who ever told me it was o.k. to use that size. That aside I have used Michelin, Continental, Pirelli and Verdestien all in 275/45 x 20" over the last five years on Sports and have never had a problem or issue with a Tyre or Distributor selling and fitting a tyre size I asked for and that includes Camskill twice. There are enough Members on the forum that have now changed to that size tyre that had there been any problems it would have been highlighted by now.

Probably my fault for asking for advice and not telling them what I wanted.
