When I've noticed this problem quite a bit now. When I accelerate and decelerate I can hear a whining noise and I think I can hear it coming from the front of the car. Can someone please help identify what's the source of the problem is.

Wheel bearing perhaps? Easy to check, just jack the wheel up and give it a shake 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater )))

Yeah I thought it was that, but I got a new one put in but it still persists. I thinking it could maybe be the rear diff or maybe just my tyres so I'm thinking I need to get 4 wheel alignment done??

Does it still whine if you turn the climate/air con off?

was it the missus...there is a distinct whining sound when mine is sat up front with me  Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

Is it speed related or go up and down with engine revs ? If speed related does it get more noises when you go round a corner ? 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

wish it was her and it particularly distinctive when I let my foot off the accelerator and it's between 1 to 2 revs
