Hi everyone!

I'm considering buying a RRS 07 plate 2.7 V6 HSE with around 90k miles clocked and I'm just looking for some advice really.
Around £13k seems like a great price for such a prestigious and classy SUV, I just wonder if it's too good to be true.
I've never owned a Range Rover before although know quite a few people who have, none of which have reported any major issues and swear they're the best car they've ever had. When doing some research though I can't help but notice some of the horror story's reported online due to the unreliability and electrical issues.
Are there any particular factors I should be looking for when making the purchase or does anyone have any advice on a specific warranty to take out which could appease some of the costs I'll likely incur?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Welcome.

Don't think 13k sounds too cheap for the age and mileage. Many things can go wrong, some things will go wrong, but don't pay too much attention to what's said on the likes of LR hell etc. Preventitive maintainence, and good service history are key. They are expensive to run (in every way), but they are not unreliable IF looked after properly.

It's virtually impossible to go through all the issues and fixes that have been discovered, so familiarise yourself with the search function and get reading - both on here and DISCO3.CO.UK.

Warranty - only ones that are really worthwhile are the LR approved one or Warranty Direct.

Have the cam belts been changed, should of been done last year on time ( 7 years ) rather than mileage. It may need the oil pump changing as well as 07 cars had the faulty tensioner mounting. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current
