Low coolant level

Think the sensor/float has gone in coolant bottle question is do I get the genuine land rover one for £87 or an aftermarket one

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

IIRC in the early days of RRS this was a free replacement as there were a lot of problems on some cars with coolant loss or the float filling with coolant and sinking in the tank................ I appreciate that your car is nearly 10 years old but it might be worth getting a dealer to check if the modified tank and float were ever fitted to your car.................. then you would get it for free or for a contribution for fair wear and tear! If you take a look in TOPIX there was a Service Bulletin regarding this, not a safety recall but a notice to dealers regarding how to deal with the problem and the customer!. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
