Back to BHP, As I understand it, all the engines are the same, it's just a different ECU map. It was the same with the TDV6 and the SDV6, there was a 10 BHP gain with the SDV6. Unfortunately NONE of the Engine Tuners / Re Mappers have cared to comment on this.

Not sure what you mean by that but I've had my 64 plate SDV6 remapped by DMS to give 329hp and 546 lbft (compared to 443 lbft as standard). The car feels markedly quicker than standard and it also means I'm not remotely tempted to trade up to the latest engine http://www.dmsautomotive.com/performance-u...=landrover What the DMS remap doesn't do is eradicate the throttle response issue (IMHO that's a gearbox issue) but it does improve it a bit, I guess because the torque curve is a little fatter even at low rpm |

It's no secret, it was just over £700 but that included sending a technician to my office to do the remap. They were one of the first companies in the remapping business and I've had several turbo diesel engined cars remapped by them over the years, all with excellent results |

I guess there'll be somebody along soon to tell me that my L-R dealer's diagnostic equipment will pick up the remap instantly, my warranty will be voided and my gearbox will explode as a result of the extra torque. All I can tell you is this
