This system is safer than conventional snow chains and is designed for vehicles with zero or very little clearance. They don't go around the tyres but are held in place using the arms that sit on the outer side of the wheels. Hence no risk of chains getting caught in brake or suspension components.

You fit the hub plates (takes just a few minutes) and leave them on for the period you expect to use chains. When chains are actually needed, they can be fitted to the hubs in less than a minute on each side and they centre themselves automatically as the car is driven off.

Adjusted and ready for standard RRS wheel/tyre size. Come in a strong carry bag. I also needed spacers to fit them safely without damaging the wheels. I bought the spacers separately but they are included in the price.

Only covered a distance of 3-4 metres. Used once on my driveway for testing/fitting only.

LR sell them for well over £600. I am asking for £275 (cash on collection only due to weight) from North West London.

I would buy it, but is has to be shipped to Canada. I would pay for shipping unless it is outrageously expensive. Doesn't matter how long it would take.

Last month our admin girl sent an item to New York and another to Maine for a US colleague who bought gifts from London and wanted them posted. Combined, they were smaller in volume and much lighter in weight than these chains but cost £110.
