Been thinking about installing an Apple Tv unit into car so I can airplay music, Videos and Apple maps etc.

Airplay peer to peer does not require a network connection.

I have just purchased a Nav-Tv cable which gives me a composite video feed input to screen.

Apple tv can be modified to run off a 12v DC to 5v DC convertor.

Ok not sure what the screen input is, however, output is 720x480 or there abouts so what's called Sd.

If I were you I'd check the quality or the screen as I was looking at a similar project but found my screen was so didn't carry on with the project.

You can check the screen with the hdmi to rca adapter and the 753 diagnostic hack.
