I did it on my D3, just got the dealer to do the steering whell buttons as I didn't fancy playing with the airbag. It's certainly dooable, takes a few hours though |

I had the bluetooth PTI retro-fitted by the dealer, I thought it would be simple enough as most of the gubbins goes in behind the panel under the stereo - or so I thought! however, the buttons have to be fitted on the wheel which requires that it be removed........... so i opted for the dealer to do it. It's now back in for repair as the system crashed and even prevents the radio/cd from working.......... RRS TDV6 (gone)

Hmm... beware of retro-fitting anything. You never know quite what the fallout will be.
