Is this too harsh??

Some of its made up.. but i am getting p'd off waiting for this cheque to arrive for our spare key to be made up for the A8.. they still haven't forwarded cheque!! so here is my email to him..

"Hi Will.

Sorry to be writing to you again, and i wish i wasn't to be honest.

We have been patiently waiting for your bloody accounts department to send the cheque down to birmingham Audi for the extra set of keys to be made up.

I think we have waited a reasonable time now, and feel your accounts department is now taking the Censored quite bad, to be completely honest. First off they actually keep lying and saying, yeah we sent it.. then Birmingham check their post for four days and keep ringing me up at work saying.. nope.. nope.

Then when im in with my RS4 for some other reason, they ring you up in my presence, and your accounts department now say, sorry we DIDN't in fact send it, but we are now. Do you think that is a very professional way to be doing business? We are sitting here waiting for this mystery cheque to arrive, and making do with one key. This has been fine, but today when one of our employees drives the vehicle home from a clients, he comes to the office and misplaces the key, leaving us there for 3 hours looking for the bloody thing, as we have to take the A8 to london tommorow.

If we had 2 keys (as we were supposed to as per Audi Approved used car.. and as we were promised by that salesman you have employed who we don't have a very high regard for at all..) then we wouldn't have faced this situation, as i would have the spare on my fob and we could have been home on this blistering hot day earlier then 8pm, which is the time we have just rocked up. And no i don't usually spend my friday night writing complaint emails, but i am tonight, thats how much this has annoyed me.

I got it in the neck tonight, and seeing as though its your bloody accounts department with their foot up their backsides and can't send one small cheque to a sister Audi centre, then you clearly deserve this email, as you promised us this would be sorted out.

Can you find out where this cheque is, and if it hasn't been despatched, then i want it sent to MY postal address.. in favour of Audi Birmingham or whoever it needs to be made out to, then i'll get it to Louise at Birmingham Audi, that way i can see the cheque has arrived and the time taken. I don't want to escalate this situation very much, but i am already in dialogue with Audi customer service manager (Jan) over the Bluetooth in my RS4 not working, i don't mind dropping this into the rant when i speak to her again about our settlement on Monday.

Please ring me up/reply to this at the earliest point possible, and tell me whats going on. I want the A8 in to Audi for configuration to the spare key ASAP. IF we loose the 1 key we do have, in the mean time, and have to have the locks forced and new locks programmed, you do realise from your emails previously dated promising this to be sorted, that your garage is in fact liable. I know your margins aren't that big, but you don't want to be making this A8 into a loss really i hope. Especially 2 months after its been sold.

Please let me know whats going on with this, and why its taking your accounts so long to process one cheque.. I realise they have other work to be doing, but this shouldn't have been the case in the first place, so its your problem.

Kind Regards

Replace the bloody's and Censored - never very good in a complaint letter! IMHO 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Hi Kam,

agree with the above. Sounds like they are messing you about alot, however such a worded letter can cause for things to slow down even more IMHO

Hope you get it resolved

The spirit of the letter is certainly correct, but as others have said - it needs to be a little more formal in its language.

Good luck getting it resolved mate. Thumbs Up
