In both DrRob,,command shift works in D & S unless lights are on then I can only gear down.

is that using the flappy paddles behind the steering wheel.?

Tks Jeff,,ill try that later,,its just weird they work fine without lights on but don't with lights on.

Thinking this could be a case of the same issue that occurs with the older vehicles. On the older vehicles, there's a wiring splice under the front of the passenger sill that corrodes (purple/blue wire), causing loss of sport and command shift when the sidelights are on. Would be interesting to hear if this fault happens to the 8 speed.

Had the paddle off & that doesn't make any difference.....so next step is wiring.

Well ive fixed it,,even though it was the right hand paddle to gear up it was the conection on the left paddle that needed cleaning.

Cheap fix. Did you put WD40 in it? It kept recurring for me until I put a good squirt in. |

I used some clutch & brake cleaner on the left one.
