OK, so had the car serviced and had previously taken out the ITG filter I was using so they didn't bin it or anything. They replaced the old stock one with another. I want to replace that with th ITG one again.

The first ITG I got for my D3 was a Handmade, the one I bought recently (as a spare but ended up installing it anyway) is a Pro which as far as I can tell just needs a good vacuming every now and then and then replacing when it doesn't seem to be doing its job anymore |

There isn't a huge difference between a brand new standard filter and an ITG filter. However, the BIG difference is that the ITG filter will maintain its performance for much longer, whereas the standard filter will degrade quite markedly quite quickly in terms of air-flow capability. Paul |

unscrew the air box cover (6 retained screws, front left of engine bay on the petrol versions) and lift out the filter, see what state it's in.
