Collected my new (to me) RRS 4.2 Supercharged yesterday.

Got the train over to North Yorkshire from Manchester yesterday to view and buy my new car.

It's a 56 plate 2007 4.2 Supercharged HSE in Cairns blue with ivory interior. 81,000 miles and full service history. The seller was a lovely guy and had already replaced it with a 2012 Cayenne Turbo which he used to pick me up from the station to take to his house. The Cayenne was lovely.

Here's a quick pic of the car from the sales ad.

I've dropped the car off at my local bodyshop to colour code the lower bumpers, skirts and upper door mirrors. I've also got some grey/silver/silver grilles for the front and sides to replace the black. I've also sourced a set of the same wheels which are either going to be powder coated standard silver or gunmetal grey. I'm still undecided. In any event, expect to see the current black wheels and grills in the for sale section shortly.

More pics will be added once the car is out of the bodyshop.

Agree, need to change those dark wheels. Classic silver alloys would work well with that deep blue paint. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

Yep, I'm going for silver wheels, silver front grill and silver side vents. Having lighter accents on the car will make the blue look deeper and more contrasting. I was toying with gunmetal grey but it's only really worked on black cars I've had in the past.

I have gunmetal grey 20" wheels on a black car and I really want to make them back to factory silver. Right now they disappear on the car. Regards etc.,

Just a quick update on my mods. The car is still in the bodyshop having the lower bumpers and side skirts colour coded. They're done but are currently being fitted. The wheel are also done and need to be fitted too.

I've had some interior bits done in piano black and I've just finished refitting them this afternoon.

Do you have any more plans for her?

Yes I got the interior door handles, hockey sticks and stereo side panels sprayed piano black. Made a nice change from the worn silver.

Really happy with the grilles, vents and badges going back to silver. I went for gunmetal grey for the wheels.
