Have you considered new TPMS valves for your 22" and having it recalerbrated?

I'm not sure it would work, as the 22" tyres seem to need around 40psi, otherwise they virtually run on the shoulders.

This seems a common situation with this wheel/tyre size, as most owners seem to run their tyres around that pressure.

I don't know if this would cause TPMS to report that the pressures are too high, or if this is something else that could be recalibrated by someone in the know?

I have Overfinch 22" on, and i emailed them regurding tyre pressures, they stated in a email that the stock pressures you normally run 20" are perfectly fine, and the reason wheels crack is because owners run the pressures too high, like 40, if you do this there is no give in the wall and so the wheel suffers the damage instead of the tyre.
I told my tyre fitter this and he said Overfinch are wrong!!!!!! and put 40 psi in them, I drove to the next garage and reduced them to 33/36 and NEVER had any issues with them for 3 years 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

The whining you hear under the bonnet after switching the engine off, is the turbo vanes going through the cycle a few times. If you have the facility to plug an IIDS tool in you can see them cycling for a few seconds. Totally normal. Smile

Hi Mike, the whine I know about, it's the 7/8 squeaks that not everyone seems to get. I do t have any performance issues so assume is ok however....
