Will their be a UK recall? | |
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is announcing two, new safety campaigns affecting a total of 65,844 SUVs from Land Rover.
The larger recall covers 65,352 examples of the 2013-2016 Range Rover and 2014-2016 Range Rover Sport. On these SUVs, the doors can suddenly unlatch when closed, and this can occur while the vehicle is in motion. The problem is not mechanical in nature. Land Rover dealers simply need to update the keyless entry software to fix the issue. The campaign is expected to begin on August 7.
The other, much smaller recall covers just 492 examples of the 2012-2013 Land Rover LR4 but for a rather important repair. The primer holding the panoramic sunroof may not bond correctly. This can cause the roof to be noisy, loose, or leak water. Although in one surely terrifying case, an owner reports the sunroof detaching while driving the SUV. Land Rover dealers will apply the correct primer to the panoramic panel to fix the problem, and this campaign will also start on August 7.

I think other "substances" came into play there. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.
