What would you inflate 285/35/22 tyres to?

I got a nice set of rims, been on them for a while now, but went to pump one up and discovered the guy ahd them set at 46psi! that is overkill surely? I dropped it to 40 But on the door card it says 33 front and 36 rear (but that was stock 20's from the factory) so what would I set lower profile ones to?

Just had all my bushes and arms replaced. Guessing I'll get 2 years before needing them done again with 22" wheels! Rolling Eyes

I've got the 285/40/22 overfinch on mine mate & I put 40 psi in them depending on what kind of weight you will be carrying 40 should be plenty, I work for Pirelli tyres in carlisle so if you have any further problems give me a shout & I will try & sort it. Thumbs Up

Hi, mines on 285/35/22, run at 38 psi Front/40 psi Rear, been on for two years now and no probs yet but I agree with what you say about suspension bushes, you cant expect much more with standard wheels and tyres.

Running that size for past 10 years at 38 psi front and rear . Never had a problem , no uneven where no damage to wheels or tyres .
