2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Rimini Red

any tips on how to replace air conditioning condenser rad?

my condenser rad is leaking (bottom centre) so need to replace asap.

i plan to remove lights/grille/bumper then remove the black front panel.

this plan sound correct? any tips? my car is a 4.4 petrol RRS.

2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

The workshop manual suggests removing the radiator assembly as a whole unit and then removing the condenser from it. This is somewhat more involved than your suggested approach as it means removing the fan and various other items first. Hopefully one of the gurus will be along shortly to say whether your approach will work

Edit: nice one Paddi! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

cheers guys. yea i shoulda done a search first

so looks like its slam panel off. turns out theres more than one type condenser so just confirming the correct one.

i may soak the slam panel bolts in eeze it over night (bumper came off easy)

ill be sure to crack out the waxoil whist the slam panels off

well it was easy to change mine on a 4.4 RRS

Pop off head lights/grille
front bumper
slam panel
impact bar
air duct for rads
aircon condenser rad. tool me and hour and half tops.

new air con rad £85 delivered (via euro car parts - ebay)
recharge at kwik fit £49

got my anti roll bar bushes to change next.

see if it just costs me the price of 2 x oem bushes.(£21 delivered)
