Hey,

1st post and it's an ask - I've Googled an hour away, I've rung Elite wheels, I've called specialist wheel refurbishers but everyone seems to be saying the same story..........

Here's hoping someone on here has got a magic wand (and a phone number) of somewhere that can refurb and polish these alloys.

Just had the car a week, previous owner was based in London and had a clear dislike for curbs. All four are marked in some way (but only on outer edge). I'd like to get them showroom once more but because they're polished, no-one has the equipment to fix.

Any ideas ?

I remember once working on a Renault 5 GT Turbo Raider and its wheels had blue centres with a polished outer lip.
We were painting the car and the wheels were really scabby. The boss disappeared with the wheels and returned a bit later with a very nicely cut shiny lip on them.

He'd taken them to a mate with a lathe who skimmed the corrosion off.

It might be worth asking a local engineering company rather than wheel refurber to do this and then get a refurber or bodyshop to clear coat them once done. Probably cost you less too

I guess it's wether they can fill, machine and then polish without seeing the added metal once finished

Lepsons in Gillingham, they do all the Bentleys, Lambo's etc for the main dealers in Kent..

The wheel specialists do these too. They are a franchise so you should find someone locally. I have the same car and mine are just about getting to the point where they need doing so I've already checked it out. They're expensive to do per wheel though... Jaguar XKR Convertible

GC Motors in Harrogate will diamond cut them but they're a bit far away for you.
It's worth popping in for a look at their motors though, this is where I got mine and it was the cheapest car on the stock list at the time!

Depending on how bad they are I can get them back to normal. £70 a wheel. Do you have any pictures (close up's ) you'll have to leave the car with me or the wheels for a day.
