United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zambezi Silver
New to Forum, not to RR.

Hi all.

As the header suggests - noobie to this forum, but not to the RR.

Had a V8 Petrol Vogue '54
then a RRS TDV8 '58
then a 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Autobiog '62 (still got)
and now have added a RRS TDV6 '56

It's generally the wife that uses the Vogue, and I have the RRS for running about in. I quite like it to be honest, but have a few questions etc, and that's why I joined I guess. Embarassed

I recall my previous RRS had a feature where when you closed the main tailgate, it shut the last inch or so electrically. My '56 doesn't do this. Should it?

LOL. That's a good thing! Means it's not broken Wink

FWIW - I liked the sound of my TDV8 RRS, but I prefer the drive of the TDV6 (I find it smoother and more sedate). The TDV8 Vogue we have is awful. No V8 Rumble, and the 8 speed auto is far too busy. It's done with three or 4 gears before 35mph.

BTW, my days of flat out everywhere are over - and if they weren't, I wouldn't have bought a RR.

Well, if I was to remap, it would be for the economy and the little bit extra when towing horse box.

I am interested though.

My main initial reason was for towing the Caravan and the 90nm of additional Torque certainly does makes the trip easier, especially up hills!
Any remap could have you losing fuel, but it you drive normally, it does make a difference.

My last tank was 1mpg up for similar journey lines when I compare pre and post remap.
Of course, if you drive using all the power available all of the time, then that's not going to help with economy. I've very slightly adapted my driving style to use the additional torque at the right time, I think that helps. Bodsys Brake Bible
