In addition to the above, a Sanef Toll Tag makes life easier. I got a little discount by quoting my Euro Tunnel booking reference at purchase. Check details on Euro Tunnel website. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Book yourself in the oversize carriages on the eurotunnel. No extra charge and a lot less cramped than the car carriages. Also less risk of kerbing alloys on the metal edges in the car section.
Last time I didn't book it but just changed lanes but next time will book it beforehand.
The more exotic motors also go in there Thumbs Up Visitor from fullfatrr.com

^^ Good tip - I also choose the "car over 1.85m" option for extra space when booking. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

breathalyser (An on the spot fine of €11 was due to be implemented on 1 March 2013)."

Wasn't the whole breathalyser thing just part of a back hander to one of the then President's mates - who happened to be the largest maker of disposable breath test kits.

Anyway, lots of interesting info here: http://about-france.com/travel.htm 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

I drive in France often, have done since the 90's (was there last week in fact), and I never bothered with all the bulb kits, viz jackets, triangles and other silly stuff they want you to carry. The rozzers over there mostly leave us Brits alone.

Just go and enjoy. The roads are pretty tame.

I agree with the "over 1.85m" on the tunnel though. I do that too. Get a 2005-2009 RRS (FAH500210) sat nav/dash mat here - the one that wasn't there when you bought the car.

Spiffing wheel centre caps available

I have spare bulbs, hi viz and triangle in my car anyway - why wouldn't you? If you've ever stood by a dual carriageway or motorway you'd appreciate the lorry drivers seeing you early so hi viz is a must. it can all be tucked in the tool space under the boot so it's not in the way at all.

I visit building sites a lot so maybe I'm just used to have hi viz about... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I also have all the required and even some recommended gear (e.g. fire extinguisher) in my car all the time. Thankfully I have never had to use or been stopped and checked on my many trips but I continue to carry the stuff because:
A) There's no guarantee that it will never happen just because it hasn't happened yet.
B) No harm in obeying the law.
C) Doesn't cost a fortune and doesn't take up a lot of space. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
