Vauxhall Corsa

I have to my embarrassment, spent the last hour browsing Vauxhall Corsa forums, and have concluded they really do know Censored all about their cars! Does anyone on here know about the timing belt on a S reg early model Corsa, when does it need changing and how much should it cost? Or does anyone know where I could find this info? Long shot but hey!

Mrs Shmoogle had an S reg Corsa once - and I seem to remember she had to have the timing belt changed at 70k. Don't remember how much it cost though.... your local friendly Vauxhall knuckle-draggers should be able to tell you though, I suppose?

The lady my Mum works with who has the Corsa has taken it into the local Vauxhall dealer, and they keep finding problems, the latest being a new timing belt. We're trying to work out if she's being ripped off, they're charging quite a bit for a new timing belt. 70k miles sounds right, I think she's done circa 66k. 2002 Discovery Adventurer LE

Vauxhall service dept rip of a lady customer? Never! Laughing

Get someone of the male persuasion to take it next time. And keep the baseball bat at the ready.
