They have to be primed and rubbed down several times to get a smooth finish with the top coat.

My brother runs a body shop and hates my when I want parts colour coding! It takes ages to get the trims smooth, then you have the risk of them not keying right.

Personally if you can buy trim that is smooth then I'd do that or get a body shop that's really good.

very, very nice motor ! Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

I think you are staring an on the spot fine of £60 with that plate. Whistle The police are clamping down on such plates these days.
