Could only be leaking from the fuel filter area, as that is where it is, I would get it checked asap, as the O ring seal sometimes breaks up, I had the complete unit replaced on mine, I think it was less than £40, and that included a filter 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater ))) |

Thanks, I will take to my local garage and not bother with main stealers, as it sounds like it may possibly be a cheap fix (fingers crossed). |

By far the most common cause is rodents nibbling the plastic elbow on the top of the tank. There are numerous examples, pictures and repairs on the D3 / D4 forum.

Well it wasn't roland rat, Charlie cockaroachy or even mikey mouse, it turns out it was a leaking seal on a leak off pipe.
