Is it possible to lock the doors or windows remotely using Incontrol apps on a MY15.5 car? Or is this a new release for MY16. If the latter then will this be possible as a retrofit through software update etc?

It is great to know you have left your car unlocked or a window open, but if it is at a train station and you are 100 miles away it would be great to do something about it too...

My app isn't currently recognising u/n and p/w - I know its correct as I can log into it, via a PC.

No. 

It appears to be possible with In Control Premium... Is this something that can be subscribed to?

Premium is not on the Sport. Yet. 

Having been photographed (probably) by a camera van this week, though not in the SVR, the one App that would make it InControl Apps worthwhile would be an app to warn me of camera and van locations, such as I have with my Road Angel. Sadly, I did not have it with me as I was returning from France where such things are frowned upon.

Typical isn't it, more than 6k miles in 6 weeks without incident then one of these things is waiting to welcome me home...  Mark

Sygic IC sat nav has camera locations.

Me too. Probably 16 forwards. I do notice we can now tap the status bar us the app gives the window and alarm status, which I don't think was there before. 

Surely this would be a reasonably simple update to go from standard to premium for existing drivers and a great money maker for LR... Once the incontrol is fitted the rest must simply be software.

But how long before people start complaining of the security risk?

MY16 has Remote Premium. Remote Premium has the added features:

• Cool or heat your vehicle to the desired temperature prior to your journey.(Availability and function depending on vehicle capability)
• Reset your vehicle’s alarm if it has accidentally triggered

I imagine Remote Climate has to be spec'd to give InControl the capability (if at all on the Sport).
